The commander of the Azerbaijani Naval Forces meets with Khawaja Asif

On Tuesday, Khawaja Muhammad Asif, the Federal Minister for Defense, was visited by Rear Admiral Shahin Mammadov, commander of the Azerbaijan Naval Forces.

According to a press statement, both sides expressed satisfaction with the current level of defense cooperation during the meeting and reiterated the close and fraternal ties between Pakistan and Azerbaijan.

During the conference, topics of shared interest were covered, with a focus on regional maritime security and naval cooperation.

In order to further improve interoperability and cooperation, the Defense Minister emphasized the significance of ongoing engagement between the two nations’ armed services through professional exchanges, cooperative training, and communication.

The visiting dignitary expressed Azerbaijan’s wish to strengthen defense and naval cooperation with Pakistan and acknowledged Pakistan’s contribution to regional peace and security.
