The chief minister welcomed people from Lahore and throughout Punjab to join the celebrations in a statement posted on social media site X. In her post, Maryam Nawaz urged the populace to unite and commemorate the customary Basant holiday, a long-standing cultural icon of the province capital.

The chief minister said that Liberty Chowk, a popular spot for large public meetings in Lahore, would host the main event. She also uploaded the song Guddi Lahore Di Uddi, which has a Basant theme, with the announcement.
