The Sindh government appoints a one-judge commission to look into the Gul Plaza incident.

A one-member commission was appointed by the Sindh government on Tuesday to look into the causes of the Gul Plaza fire.

The head of the inquiry commission would be Sindh High Court (SHC) Justice Agha Faisal.

The Gazette notification containing the Terms of Reference (ToRs) has been forwarded to the Inquiry Commission. Eight weeks will pass before the probe is finished. The commission will investigate what caused the Gul Plaza fire.

The panel will also look at the building’s general safety protocols, fire control plans, and fire prevention strategies.
