The Pakistan Airports Authority has released a fresh NOTAM. The recent NOTAM indicates that Pakistan’s airspace will remain inaccessible to Indian-registered aircraft until March 23.

All Indian-registered military and civilian aircraft are prohibited from traversing Pakistan’s airspace.

Pakistan has restricted the airspace to Indian planes beginning April 23, 2025.

Pakistan has prolonged the suspension of its airspace for Indian planes for an additional month due to persistent tensions between the two nations.

The Pakistan Airports Authority, with governmental authorization, released a new NOTAM indicating that Pakistani airspace will remain inaccessible to Indian-registered aircraft.

All Indian commercial passenger flights, military planes, and private jets will be prohibited from traversing Pakistan’s airspace during this timeframe.

Pakistan initially closed its airspace to Indian planes on April 23, 2025. Since then, Indian airlines have allegedly incurred substantial financial losses, amounting to billions of rupees, attributable to extended routes and elevated operating expenses.

Officials stated that the decision signifies the ongoing tense relations between the two neighboring countries and will remain applicable to all commercial and private Indian aircraft.
