Following the Prime Minister’s directives, a review meeting was held to evaluate the implementation strategies and administrative readiness for the Ramzan Relief Package 2026, presided over by the Federal Minister for Poverty Alleviation and Social Safety, Syed Imran Ahmad Shah.

The meeting included representatives from the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA), State Bank of Pakistan, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP), National Telecommunication Corporation (NTC), Press Information Department (PID), and participating banks.

In the meeting, the Federal Minister instructed the State Bank of Pakistan to initiate the disbursement of Ramzan Relief funds without delay.

He additionally directed the SBP to guarantee complete operational readiness of banks on the inaugural day of Ramzan, ensuring uninterrupted support for beneficiaries. The Minister also instructed that all outstanding beneficiary bank accounts be established as a priority.

The Federal Minister mandated the establishment of a WhatsApp group consisting of all appointed focal persons, requiring bi-daily progress updates for enhanced coordination and real-time oversight.

The Federal Minister thereafter visited the control room set up to supervise disbursements under the Ramzan Relief Package, where performance was assessed via a real-time dashboard.

The dashboard indicates that about 200,000 calls have been received to date; more than 95,000 calls were resolved via the IVR system, while approximately 23,000 calls were managed directly by call agents.

The Federal Minister instructed BISP to maintain the control room’s operation 24/7 for at least the initial ten days of Ramzan, ensuring continuous service delivery and swift resolution of beneficiaries’ inquiries.

The Federal Minister reiterated the government’s dedication to social protection, stating that the Ramzan Relief Package 2026 intends to provide effective, transparent, and targeted financial aid to at-risk populations.
