Cylinder explosion in Karachi: Building owner detained, case filed

On Friday, the Soldier Bazaar Police Station received a case about the collapse of a residential building brought on by an explosion from a gas leak.
At least 16 persons were killed and 14 injured in a cylinder explosion that occurred in a building in the Soldier Bazaar neighborhood of Karachi on Thursday.
Irshad, the plot owner, has been placed under custody for building a ground-plus-floor structure on a 40-square-yard plot. The FIR claims that T.R. girders were utilized all around the structure.
According to the FIR, Zebun Nisa, a resident, lighted the stove during sehri. The room had filled with gas because of a malfunctioning gas line. When a match was struck, there was an explosion and a fire. The three-story building’s rooms collapsed as a result of the bomb.
The tragedy resulted in sixteen fatalities and fourteen injuries. The incident’s CCTV footage has also come to light. While any plastic pipe fittings might have been placed by the tenants, the building owner asserted that gas fittings with iron pipes had been fitted.
