WhatsApp unveils a new Group Message History feature.

WhatsApp has introduced a new feature termed “Group Message History” to enhance group chat experiences.
This function enables group administrators and members to transmit current communications to new participants, facilitating their swift acclimatization without disruptions.
This much anticipated improvement enables new members to get the most pertinent and current context, eliminating the necessity for screenshots or superfluous message forwarding. The functionality continues to be end-to-end encrypted, preserving the privacy and security of all communications.
Upon the addition of a new member to a group, administrators will have the option to dispatch recent messages, varying from 25 to 100, contingent upon the group’s activity level. This guarantees that just the most relevant signals are disseminated, assisting new members in acclimating swiftly.
The ability to transmit message history is discretionary, allowing administrators to deactivate the feature for their groups.
Upon sharing message history, all group members receive notifications, complete with explicit timestamps and sender information, facilitating the differentiation between standard and shared messages.
WhatsApp has commenced the slow rollout of the Group Message History feature and intends to further improve its group chat capabilities while maintaining privacy and fluidity in chats.
