In Lahore, poet Syed Salman Gilani was buried.

The renowned speaker, poet, and naat-reciter Syed Salman Gilani was buried on Sunday at Mustafa Town Graveyard in Lahore after passing away on Saturday.

Under the direction of Sheikh-ul-Hadith Hazrat Maulana Muhib-un-Nabi, the funeral prayers were said at Jamia Ashrafia. A sizable contingent of religious experts, political figures, and notable individuals attended the prayers, including Maulana Syed Abdul Khabeer Azad, MNA Saif-ul-Maluk Khokhar, Dr. Fareed Ahmed Paracha, and Jamat-e-Islami Deputy Ameer Liaqat Baloch.

Maulana Amjad Khan, Maulana Salahuddin Ayubi, and Maulana Syed Abdul Khabeer Azad were among the speakers at the funeral who paid heartfelt homage to Gilani, emphasizing his lifetime contributions to religious scholarship and his unwavering efforts to uphold the honor of the Prophet’s companions and Ahl-e-Bayt as well as the beliefs of Khatm-e-Nubuwwat.

It is important to note that the poet who passed away had a heart issue and had just been admitted to the hospital with pneumonia. Afterwards, he was buried at Mustafa Town Graveyard. DG PID Shafqat Abbas laid a wreath of flowers on his grave on behalf of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and the Federal Minister for Information.
