The government’s assertions of economic enhancement are unfounded. Taimur Jhagra

Taimur Saleem Jhagra, a leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), asserted on Sunday that the government’s assertions regarding economic enhancement are unfounded and that it lacks a definitive strategy for economic improvement.

During a news conference in Islamabad, he stated that the most recent national poverty statistics are concerning. He stated that in 2018, 22 percent of the population resided below the poverty line, a figure that has now risen to 29 percent.

Taimur Jhagra stated that the poverty rate has escalated significantly over the previous 11 years, with the most pronounced rises observed in Punjab and Sindh. He asserted that poverty escalated by 41 percent in Punjab and 33 percent in Sindh.

During his address, Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar stated that the law and order situation is deteriorating, rendering the country incapable of functioning under such circumstances. He advocated for equitable and transparent elections, the liberation of political detainees, and the provision of optimal medical care for PTI founder Imran Khan.
