Rumors that Aleema Khan is running for PTI chairperson are denied by Barrister Gohar.

In an interview with the media, Barrister Gohar claimed that Aleema Khan had never expressed a want to lead the party or requested him to step down as chairman.
He went on to refute rumors going around in political circles by saying, “She has never interfered in the matter of the party chairmanship.”
The PTI chairman also voiced his displeasure with Sher Afzal Marwat’s comments, claiming that he had earlier obtained a pledge from him to refrain from making contentious remarks.
Barrister Gohar stated that sometimes it is preferable to avoid responding to specific issues, saying, “This is not the right approach to sit on television and attack any personality.”
He advised party officials and members to refrain from making any more divisive remarks that would damage the party’s reputation.
Barrister Gohar went on to explain that the PTI conducted its intra-party elections on March 3, 2024, and that the Election Commission of Pakistan received the pertinent paperwork on April 10, 2024.
“Such discussions had no justification at that time because we were still awaiting the certificate from the Election Commission,” he stated.
The PTI chairman reiterated his call for party officials to abstain from remarks that can unnecessarily stir up controversy inside the party.
The “Release Force” plan is rejected by PTI leadership.
The Leader of the Opposition and the senior leadership of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) have previously turned down the idea of creating a “release force” for Imran Khan, the party’s founder.
Sohail Afridi, the chief minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, is said to have proposed the concept. Senior PTI officials, however, have disassociated themselves from the project and voiced their disapproval of the concept.
According to sources, the party leadership is adamant that constitutional and legal methods, not the creation of a special army, will be used to secure PTI founder Imran Khan’s release.
The leadership has made it clear that it will not give up on what it called a “constitutional and legal struggle” to secure his release.
It was also disclosed that senior party officials had expressed their concerns about the intended move to the chief minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. They allegedly told him that the creation of such a force is not supported by the majority of the party’s top leadership.
According to PTI sources, the party’s political committee will formally proclaim its rejection of the proposal. The issue is on the agenda for the political committee meeting that is now in session.
The committee is anticipated to formally declare the idea to create the “release force” rejected after discussions.
PTI would continue to pursue legal and constitutional options in its pursuit of its founder’s incarceration, party officials reaffirmed.
