Pakistan’s right to self-defense against Taliban attacks has been endorsed by the United States.

It was stated by US Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs Allison Hooker in a conversation with Pakistan’s Foreign Secretary Amna Baloch.

In an X post, Hooker wrote: “Today, I spoke with Pakistan Foreign Secretary Baloch to offer my condolences for the lives lost in the recent conflict between Pakistan and the Taliban.”

She went on to say, “We have stated our support for Pakistan’s right to defend itself against Taliban attacks and we continue to keep a close eye on the situation.”
