Atta Tarar: Operation Ghazab lil-Haq demolished 104 checkpoints and killed 331 Afghan soldiers.

Operation Ghazab lil-Haq has so far resulted in 331 Afghan Taliban combatants being killed and over 500 injured, according to Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar.
“During the ongoing operation, 104 Afghan Taliban checkpoints were destroyed and 22 were taken over by Pakistani forces,” the federal minister wrote in a Saturday morning post on X. The Afghan Taliban’s 163 tanks and military vehicles were destroyed by Pakistani forces, he added.
The minister stated that about 37 sites throughout Afghanistan were successfully hit by aircraft as well.
Earlier, Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, Director General of the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), told a press conference that 27 Pakistani soldiers were injured during the battles and that 12 had accepted martyrdom while performing their duties.
Tensions between the two neighboring countries have been further heightened since the Afghan Taliban government launched unjustified attacks on many areas along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border on the evening of February 27.
“Pakistan responded with vigilance and strength to unprovoked aggression by the Afghan Taliban,” Tarar said in an interview with a media outlet.
The minister said that despite trying conditions, Pakistan’s military forces have successfully used their professional skills to protect the country.
He claimed that the strong response had put the Afghan Taliban on the defensive, leaving them unsure of their position and causing them to start disseminating false information on social media.
“The military of Pakistan has once again shown that any hostile plans or acts of aggression against the nation will be met with an iron hand,” Tarar said.
He underlined that the country is confident in its armed forces, whose professionalism and prompt action have made the nation proud.
According to the minister, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also praised the armed forces’ prompt and valiant response, including their professionalism and readiness in defending national security and sovereignty, under the command of Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of the Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces.
Pakistan’s position was reiterated by Tarar, who warned that strikes against Pakistan using Afghan territory were intolerable and would never be allowed. He emphasized that terrorists who were trained in Afghanistan still carry out attacks within Pakistan and that any action of this nature will be confronted with a strong and swift response.
