‘Unabated’ operations against the Afghan Taliban, according to the minister

Dr. Tariq Fazal, the Federal Minister of Parliamentary Affairs, has denied on social media that Pakistan has stopped fighting the Afghan Taliban.

The reverse is true in reality. Sharing drone and Pakistan Air Force footage with the media has been temporarily halted due to the present regional circumstances.

In a post on X, he stated, “This decision is not intended to stop operations, but rather to protect operational strategy and national security.”

Fazal stated that the fight against terrorist elements was “advancing with full intensity and wisdom” and that “operations continue unabated.”

Attaullah Tarar, the Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting, had earlier stated that the security forces have so far killed 331 Afghan Taliban insurgents and injured over 500 others in Operation Ghazab lil-Haq.

The federal minister said in a post on X on Saturday morning that Pakistani forces have gained control of 22 checkpoints and destroyed 104 Afghan Taliban checkpoints during the ongoing operation. He added that 163 Afghan Taliban tanks and military vehicles have been destroyed by Pakistani soldiers.

The minister pointed out that the air effectively targeted over 37 places throughout Afghanistan.
