If Iran retaliates, Trump threatens to use extraordinary force.

In the event that Iran retaliates for American strikes, U.S. President Donald Trump declared on Sunday that the United States will strike the Middle Eastern country “with a force that has never been seen before.”

Trump said on Truth Social, “Iran just said they are going to hit very hard today, harder than they have ever been hit before.”

“But they’d better not do that, because if they do, we’ll hit them with a force never seen before,” he continued.

On Saturday morning, the United States and Israel started a significant operation against Iran, striking many targets simultaneously. The strike killed Supreme Leader Khamenei and several Iranian leaders.

The launch date was chosen weeks ago, according to an Israeli defense officer, who said the operation had been planned for months in collaboration with Washington.

In what the military claimed was a preemptive warning to get the population ready for the potential of an impending missile strike, sirens sounded throughout Israel at approximately 08:15 local time on Saturday, and Iranian media reported hearing explosions in Tehran.

The Israeli military declared a restriction on public airspace and the closure of workplaces and schools, with the exception of critical industries. The airports authority advised the public not to visit any of Israel’s airports, and the country closed its airspace to civilian aircraft.

In an effort to end the decades-long conflict diplomatically and avoid the possibility of a military conflict that may destabilize the area, the United States and Iran resumed talks in February.

However, Israel pushed Washington to include limitations on Iran’s missile program in the negotiations, insisting that any U.S. agreement with Iran must include the destruction of Tehran’s nuclear infrastructure as well as the cessation of the enrichment process.

Iran denied any connection to missiles, but stated that it was willing to talk about reducing its nuclear program in return for the easing of sanctions.

Tehran said that it will protect itself from any assault.

If Washington attacked Iran, it threatened to react against American facilities in neighboring nations that house U.S. troops.

In the most direct American military action against the Islamic Republic to date, the United States joined an Israeli military operation against Iranian nuclear installations in June.

Then, in retaliation, Tehran fired missiles against the biggest Middle Eastern air base, the U.S. Al Udeid, in Qatar.

Western nations have cautioned that if Iran’s ballistic missile technology is developed, it may deliver nuclear weapons and endanger regional security. Tehran denies aiming for nuclear weapons.
