Shehbaz, the prime minister, laments Khamenei’s martyrdom.

In addition to expressing sorrow over the death of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has expressed grave concern about transgressions of international law and norms.
In his remarks, the prime minister expressed his profound sadness over Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s sacrifice and underlined that the Pakistani people and government are fully in solidarity with the Iranian people during their time of grief.
“It is a well-established principle that heads of state and government should not be targeted,” he said, expressing alarm at the violation of international rules. He asked Allah to give the Iranian people the endurance and forbearance to bear this irreversible loss.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has delayed his trip to Russia because of Israeli attacks and the murder of Iran’s Supreme Leader in the United States. The prime minister’s high-level team was also expected to visit Moscow, according to sources.
Pakistan has told Moscow that the visit is not now possible due to the circumstances surrounding the assaults on Iran.
The prime minister has also called a meeting to discuss the state of regional security. In addition to reviewing Pakistan’s stance in the current situation, senior military and intelligence officials will take part in a discussion about security developments in Afghanistan, Iran, and other neighboring nations.
In the days ahead, Pakistan will also develop rules pertaining to its position on the issue. How Pakistan will be represented during the funeral services for Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei will be decided at the meeting chaired by the prime minister.
