Police are on the front lines of the war on terrorism: CM Afridi

Sohail Afridi, the chief minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, stated on Monday that the police are fighting terrorism on the front lines and that his government will do everything in its power to support them.

He stated this while chairing a high level meeting to review the law and order situation in the province. Sohail Afridi, who spoke during the gathering, stated that it is imperative to defend the public’s lives and property.

According to Sohail Afridi, during the holy month of Ramadan, houses of worship and religious assemblies should have impenetrable security measures in place. He stated that the province government will give the necessary institutions all of their resources and that they should operate according to a defined plan.

The Chief Minister stated that the pertinent institutions must always be ready to handle any unfavorable situation and that the efficient use of the resources at hand must be guaranteed.

The Chief Secretary, Inspector General of Police, Additional IG CTD, ACS Home, and Additional IG Special Branch were present at the meeting.
