On March 9, Lahore government schools will start their yearly examinations.

Exams at Lahore’s government schools will start on March 9, 2026, according to the annual test timetable.
There will be two shifts for the exams: the morning shift will run from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, and the afternoon shift will run from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. However, the afternoon shift will be from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM on Fridays.
Students in the first grade will take their first exam in English on March 9, while those in the second grade will take their first paper in general knowledge. Students in the third grade will begin with Islamic Studies/Ethics, while those in the fourth grade will begin with Mathematics.
The first test for fifth graders will be in Islamic Studies/Ethics. The first exam for seventh graders will cover computer science and Arabic, while sixth graders will start with mathematics. Math will be the first subject taught to eighth graders.
The timetable will also contain tests for Tajweed Rules, Quran Recitation, and Quran Translation in addition to these courses.
There will also be separate tests for speaking, listening, and reading. Under the School-Based Assessment (SBA) system, eighth-grade students will take tests in science, math, English, and Urdu at the appropriate testing locations.
For the End-of-Year SBA 2026, the CEOs have been directed to guarantee complete adherence to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
