Today, the Senate will consider a 54-point agenda.

The Senate meeting is scheduled for this Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. in Parliament House. The Senate secretariat has released a 54-point agenda for today’s meeting, according to sources.

The agenda states that a motion requesting a sixty-day extension to submit the committee report on significant anomalies in the Korangi Fish Harbour Authority will be made during the session. Additionally, a bill will be submitted to create Al-Biruni International University in Islamabad.

Likewise, the House will be presented with a measure to establish Danish University Islamabad for approval. The agenda also includes committee reports, proposed revisions to Articles 62, 153, and 228 of the Pakistani Constitution, and amendment proposals to the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council Act.

The agenda also includes amendment bills to the NADRA Ordinance of 2000 and the Family Courts Act of 1964. The House will also hear committee reports on the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) for fiscal year 2026–2027, a progress report on the development of Arandu and Garam Chashma roads in Chitral, and a report on the run-down road connecting the freeway to the Lowari Tunnel.

The agenda also includes amendment bills to the Civil Servants Act and the Service Tribunals Act, a call-attention notice about the administrative challenges the Australian national hockey team faces, and the problem of barriers to visa issuance to Pakistanis by the UAE, Oman, and Saudi Arabia.

The House will also hear motions to debate the percentage of seats reserved for minorities, the Rs3.2 trillion circular debt in the gas industry, Pakistan’s ranking of 222 out of 226 in the Global Investment Risk Index, and amendment bills to the Imports and Exports Control Act.

Notably, the agenda also includes changes to the Senate Rules, such as a suggestion to postpone unanswered questions until the next day.
