Prior to Eid, the PPP expresses concern about the high cost of petrol.

PPP MNA Sharmila Farooqui said the extraordinary increase in petroleum product prices before Eid is concerning and urged the government to provide relief to the poor in its economic strategy.
In a statement released here on Saturday, Sharmila Farooqui claimed that rising petroleum product costs would stifle Eid celebrations and steal the joy of the impoverished.
“People no longer enjoy the pleasures of Eid because of high petrol prices. Every household’s budget is being attacked by the Rs 55 increase in petrol prices. “Veggies, flour, and transportation become costly if petrol is expensive,” the PPP leader stated.
According to Sharmila Farooqui, the government ought to consider people’s realities rather than the data in the files. Every kitchen is affected by increased petrol prices, and the average person now bears the brunt of inflation, she continued.
The economy is driven by people’s trust, not just figures, she said, adding that rising petrol prices will have a direct impact on the average person’s pocketbook.
When making economic judgements, she insisted that the government help the populace.
