In a CTD operation in Dera Ghazi Khan, four terrorists were killed.

The Punjab Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) eliminated a minimum of four terrorists during a ‘encounter’ in the Dera Ghazi Khan district on Sunday,

CTD executed an operation near Jotar village in DG Khan based on intelligence regarding the presence of 15 Fitna al-Khawarij terrorists who were plotting assaults on police and other institutions.

The CTD spokesperson subsequently stated that during the operation, the terrorists discharged firearms, prompting a retaliatory response from CTD personnel. During the shooting confrontation, four insurgents were eliminated, while eleven evaded capture.

The spokesperson announced that guns, ammunition, and other explosive ingredients were found from the deceased insurgents. The identification of the deceased terrorists is in progress, and a search operation has commenced to apprehend those who escaped.

The spokesperson stated that the Counter Terrorism Department is diligently working towards achieving a safe Punjab and is resolute in eradicating the threat of terrorism. Citizens are encouraged to promptly disclose any information pertaining to terrorism to the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD).
