Pakistan stands with Kuwait in the midst of tensions in the area.

Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, who is Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, talked on the phone with Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, who is Kuwait’s FM.

The Foreign Office said in a statement on Wednesday that they were very worried about what was happening in the region, including the attacks on Kuwait.

DPM Dar told the leaders and people of Kuwait that Pakistan stands with them and emphasised how important it is for peace and stability in the area that they talk to each other and calm down.

They also talked about issues being discussed at the UN Security Council and confirmed the long-standing, friendly relationship between Pakistan and Kuwait.

Dar and Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, the foreign minister of Saudi Arabia, talked about what was going on in the Middle East and the rest of the area earlier on Tuesday.

Ishaq Dar and Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud talked about what they thought about the talks going on at the UN Security Council.

In a press release, the Foreign Office Spokespersons said that Ishaq shared Pakistan’s view and emphasised the need for continued cooperation and diplomatic engagement to support de-escalation and promote peace and stability in the area and beyond.
