60% of official cars are grounded as the FBR implements significant austerity measures.

The head of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has established a high-level committee to carry out further cost-cutting and protection measures as part of the federal government’s austerity measures.

The FBR has mandated that 60% of official vehicles in headquarters and field offices be parked right away.

Additionally, a significant decision has been made to cut headquarters and office fuel costs by half.

Under austerity measures, FBR permits 50% of its employees to work from home.

As part of the austerity program, officers in Grade 20 and higher have also been asked to voluntarily give two days’ salary in advance.

Additionally, orders have been issued for half of the personnel to start working from home right away.

Additionally, the purchase of durable items has been completely prohibited, and the non-ERE budget for the fourth quarter has been reduced by 20%.

Officials must submit an implementation report on the new measures by March 11th, according to the FBR.
