Drones used by the Afghan Taliban were shot down before they could reach their targets: ISPR

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the military’s media arm, claimed in a statement on Saturday that the drones were stopped before they could reach their intended objectives.

According to the statement, “the drones were intercepted through soft and hard kills and did not reach their intended targets.”

However, it has been alleged that humans were injured as debris from the destroyed drones dropped in various locations.

Fragments from the fallen drones fell in Kohat and Rawalpindi, injuring two children in Quetta and one civilian each.

The ISPR described the drone assaults as a manifestation of a “terrorist mindset” and claimed that they were meant to instill fear in the people.

According to the statement, the Afghan Taliban used drone operations and terrorist proxies to target people while simultaneously portraying themselves as victims to win sympathy from other countries.

It claimed that both the Pakistani populace and the nation’s armed forces are fully aware of the true character and goals of the terrorist militia-for-hire that controls Afghanistan.
