A meeting of the Ruet-e-Hilal Committee was called on Thursday to see the Shawwal moon.

The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee has convened a meeting to observe the Shawwal moon in Islamabad on Thursday, according to

Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad, the chairman of the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, will preside over the gathering.

The Aiwan-e-Awqaf in Lahore will host the Zonal Ruet-e-Hilal Committee meeting.

At the meeting, testimonies from all throughout Punjab, including Lahore, will be heard.

The Shawwal moon sighting would be announced based on testimonials, according to Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad.

He stated that in order to see the moon, the Meteorological Department and Suparco will also be consulted.

The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee Chairman will make the Eid-ul-Fitr statement.
