Pakistan proposes to mediate in order to ease the escalating tensions in the Middle East.

Pakistan is prepared to act as a mediator to ease the escalating tensions in the Middle East, according to Federal Information Minister Attaullah Tarar on Tuesday.

Attaullah Tarar said in an interview with “Al Jazeera” that Pakistan wishes to have a significant part in resolving the Iranian crisis and averting more unrest.

He continued by saying that Pakistan is able to stay in touch with different parties in the region because of its long-standing relationships to the nations in the area.

The federal minister went on to say that Pakistan is in communication with many partners and constantly strives to keep relations balanced. He stated that he thought Pakistan might mediate the current dispute.
