Bushra Bibi’s temporary bail in the protest case from November 26 is extended by the ATC.

Bushra Bibi, the wife of PTI founder Imran Khan, has been granted interim release till April 9 in the November 26 protest case by an Anti-Terrorism Court.

ATC Judge Amjad Ali Shah presided over the session, and Bushra Bibi’s attorney Faisal Malik was present.

Since Bushra Bibi has not yet been involved in any police investigations, the defense attorney asked the court to let her to participate in investigations in all cases.

In the presence of her spouse and attorney, the court ordered that Bushra Bibi be included in investigations in 29 cases.

In the meantime, the Anti-Terrorism Court postponed the GHQ attack case hearing to April 7 without holding any more proceedings.

Further progress was hindered by the inability to reactivate the video link system between Adiala Jail and the court during the session.

Authorities were directed by the court to make sure the system is operational by the next hearing.

Judge Amjad Ali Shah hearing the case, Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed, the former interior minister, Shireen Mazari, and other accused continued to appear in court.

The court was informed that 44 of the 119 witnesses’ statements have been recorded thus far, and the PTI founder’s attendance was noted via the jail record.

The notification about the video link trial has been contested at the High Court, according to the defense attorney, and more developments are anticipated at the next hearing.
