Mushaal Mullick: Asiya Andrabi’s life sentence is an attempt to silence Kashmiri leadership.

Asiya Andrabi’s life sentence, according to Yasin Malik’s wife Mushaal Mullick, is an attempt to stifle the voice of Kashmiri leadership.

In her video message, Mushaal Mullick responded to a recent ruling by an Indian court, claiming that it was a well-planned plot rather than justice.

According to her, the decision to sentence Asiya Andrabi to life in jail is against the ideals of justice and is intended to stifle Kashmiri leadership.

She went on to say that contentious laws are crushing the liberation movement and that this is an assault on the right to self-determination of the entire country rather than just punishing a select minority.

She cautioned that the international community’s silence would also be regarded as persecution.

She claims that this is an act of stifling a nation’s voice rather than a decision.

Not only is Asiya Andrabi being punished, but the hopes of Kashmir have also been imprisoned, she said, adding that the Indian court has declared oppression rather than delivering justice.

She questioned what type of system this is and how telling the truth has turned into a criminal.

The plot to stifle Kashmiri leadership is at its height, she continued, and every voice in prison has become a scream for liberation.

Mushaal Mullick went on to say that they are blemishes on mankind rather than punishments. She further said that Kashmir’s suffering is getting worse and asked why the world doesn’t say anything.

She warned that if the world does not respond tonight, history will remember it as complicit, saying that justice has been killed and only silence is left.
