PM Sharif says he strongly supports Saudi Arabia in an interview with MBS.

Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman spoke over the phone on Wednesday, discussing regional security, global stability, and the effects of continuing military tensions.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif called the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, the Crown Prince, and the Saudi Arabian people to wish them a very happy Eid al-Fitr.

In response, the Saudi Crown Prince expressed his best wishes on the joyous occasion.

He gave the Saudi leadership his word that Pakistan will back Saudi Arabia in the same way that the kingdom has always done.

Demand harmony and peace

The Pakistani leader underlined how critical it is to put an end to hostilities and bring stability back to the region.

He briefed the Crown Prince on Pakistan’s continuous diplomatic efforts to ease tensions through communication and diplomacy and emphasized the significance of unity among the Muslim Ummah.

Mohammed bin Salman, the crown prince, valued Pakistan’s efforts to promote peace.

In order to advance security and stability in the area, both leaders committed to keeping lines of communication open and working together at all levels.

Additionally, the Saudi Crown Prince discussed the ongoing military tensions and their effects on international navigation and the world economy with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer.

PM Starmer called the Iranian attacks on Saudi territory a grave danger to regional peace and stability and strongly denounced them.

Pakistan is prepared to hold peace negotiations.

Shehbaz Sharif, the prime minister, has previously said on X that Pakistan is ready to host negotiations with Iran’s and the US’s approval.

He reiterated Pakistan’s support for continuing regional peace endeavors and called this role a source of pride for the country.
