Naseem Shah received a show-cause notice due to a social media post.

Fast bowler Naseem Shah received a show-cause notice from the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Saturday for allegedly breaking the rules of his central contract.

A PCB statement claims that the notification was sent out in accordance with the Board’s disciplinary procedures, and Naseem Shah has been told to respond within the allotted period.

The statement further stated that professional standards, contract compliance, and the integrity of the game would always be respected, and that any further action will only be determined after analyzing his response.

According to sources, Naseem Shah’s central contract may be in jeopardy if the accusations are validated.

As of right now, the PCB’s central contract places him in the C-category.

The incident started when Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz visited the Gaddafi Stadium for the inaugural ceremony of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) and was the focus of a post from Naseem Shah’s social media account on X.

Why she was receiving “queen-like protocol” was questioned in the article.

Shah claimed that his account had been hacked and then recovered when the message was later removed.

In PSL 11, Rawalpindiz is represented by Naseem Shah.

All players are expected to behave professionally both on and off the field, especially on social media, according to PCB officials.
