As of April 1, Punjab schools will resume their regular school day.

According to the announcement made by the state Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat, educational institutions all around the province of Punjab will resume on April 1 and there will be schools functioning five days a week.

It was highlighted by Rana Sikandar Hayat that there will be no hybrid system that allows schools to open three or four days a week. Monitoring of 246 matriculation examination centers is being carried out by means of closed-circuit television cameras in order to guarantee appropriate supervision.

It was announced by the minister that modifications are being made to the academic calendar in order to guarantee that applicants who will be taking examinations in the following year will have adequate time to prepare accordingly.

Although he agreed that it is difficult to provide students in online classrooms one hundred percent of one’s attention, he emphasized how important it is to concentrate on the lectures alone.

In addition to this, he stated that seventy percent of the free textbooks have been distributed throughout all of the districts in Punjab. This ensures that students have access to the tools they require for their academic pursuits.
