PM Shehbaz is resolute in his efforts to reconcile Iran and the United States.

Shehbaz Sharif, the Prime Minister of Pakistan, has stated that attempts are being made to bring Iran and the United States to the table for negotiations.

He noted that Pakistan is making attempts to play a role in promoting communication between Iran and the United States, and he added that concerted efforts are important for the rapid de-escalation of tensions in the area. This statement was made in a message that was uploaded on the social media platform X.

He stated that the conflict is causing loss of life and property in Iran as well as in several other Muslim countries. He also stated that the economies and infrastructure of Iran and other Muslim nations that are brothers have experienced tremendous harm as a result of the war. The meeting with the foreign ministers of Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Egypt was a source of great joy for him, and he expressed his gratitude to Turkey and Egypt for their excellent collaboration.

According to the message, “I emphasized the necessity of collective efforts to bring an end to hostilities that were causing heavy loss of life, economy, and property not only in Iran, but across several brotherly Muslim countries,” and “I emphasized the need for these efforts to be brought about as quickly as possible.”

“While expressing gratitude for the significant contributions made by Turkey and Egypt, I reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering dedication and determination to play a constructive role in bringing both Iran and the United States to the table as negotiating partners.”

Shehbaz, the Prime Minister of Pakistan, expressed his appreciation for the trust that has been placed in Pakistan’s genuine efforts to promote peace and stability in the area.

Prior to it, he participated in discussions with the ministers of foreign affairs of Turkey, Egypt, and Saudi Arabia. He provided the distinguished guests with an update on Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts and stated that Islamabad would continue to play a beneficial role in bringing Iran and the United States to the table for negotiations.
