Eight Muslim nations denounce Israeli limitations in Jerusalem.

Eight Muslim nations, including Pakistan, have vehemently denounced Israeli limitations on the freedom of worship for Muslims and Christians in occupied Jerusalem.

Pakistan’s Foreign Office stated in a joint communiqué that obstructing Muslims from reaching Al-Aqsa Mosque and prohibiting Christian religious leaders from entering the Holy Church constitutes a blatant breach of international law.

The declaration was released by the foreign ministers of Pakistan, Egypt, Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Indonesia, Turkiye, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar, denouncing Israeli actions as efforts to modify the legal and historical status of Jerusalem.

The proclamation asserted that the prolonged closure of Al-Aqsa Mosque for 30 days, even during the sacred month of Ramadan, represents a significant infringement on religious freedom and may jeopardize regional peace.

The foreign ministers stated that the entire Al-Aqsa Mosque compound is only designated for Muslim worship and is governed by the Jordanian Waqf administration. Israel was implored to promptly reopen the mosque, remove restrictions in Jerusalem’s Old City, and guarantee unimpeded access for worshippers.

The international community was urged to adopt a resolute and decisive position to prevent Israel from perpetuating abuses and unlawful actions against sacred places.
