The Punjab Disaster Management Authority issued a severe rain alert throughout the province.

The Punjab Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has issued a warning of significant rainfall throughout the majority of districts in the province starting tomorrow, anticipated to persist until April 4.

Precipitation is anticipated in Rawalpindi, Murree, Galiyat, Attock, Jhelum, Chakwal, Talagang, Gujranwala, Hafizabad, Wazirabad, Sargodha, Mianwali, Sheikhupura, Gujrat, Khushab, and Mandi Bahauddin.

Significant urban centers like as Lahore, Sialkot, Narowal, Faisalabad, Jhang, Chiniot, Bhakkar, Layyah, and Dera Ghazi Khan are anticipated to receive precipitation.

PDMA representatives emphasized a potential rise in the discharge of rainwater drains in Dera Ghazi Khan and the Suleman Range.

Following the directives of the Chief Minister of Punjab, notifications have been disseminated to commissioners, deputy commissioners, district administrations, and rescue agencies to maintain heightened vigilance.

Citizens are urged to remain in secure locations to evade lightning and to refrain from seeking cover in open areas during storms.

Tourists in northern regions should exercise caution, and farmers are advised to protect their crops and cattle.

The PDMA cautioned about the potential for landslides in mountainous areas and advised the people to reach out to their helpline 1129 in emergencies.
