Chicken prices in Peshawar have skyrocketed, rising by Rs. 35 per kilogram in a single day due to the recent spike in petroleum costs.

After the increase, a kilogram of chicken now costs Rs. 490.

The price per kilogram used to be Rs. 455. The cost of a kilogram of chicken flesh has increased to Rs. 780.

According to market observers, the increase is directly related to growing fuel prices, which have an effect on supply chain and transportation costs and ultimately affect consumers.
