In light of increased gas prices, Punjab has announced an assistance package for motorcycle owners.

In an effort to lessen the financial strain on motorcycle owners, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has launched a complete relief package.
The new program has fully eliminated motorcycle registration and transfer expenses in Punjab. A monthly stipend of Rs 2,000 would also be given to each registered motorcycle owner.
A fuel subsidy is also part of the plan; registered motorcycles will receive a monthly discount of Rs. 100 per liter on up to 20 liters of petrol. Authorities anticipate that this action will drastically lower citizens’ transportation expenses.
Owners who meet the eligibility requirements can apply for the fuel subsidy via the official government portal, the “Maryam Ko Batain” app, or the 1000 hotline.
CM Maryam Nawaz emphasized that these actions are a part of a larger continuing effort and said that the government is working nonstop to lessen the financial burden on regular residents.
The director general of excise claims that the federal government has already received motorbike ownership data and that each qualified owner would have a digital wallet opened for direct subsidy disbursements.
