The Pakistan Navy launches the PNS Khaibar, another Milgem class corvette.

During the induction ceremony of the 2nd PN MILGEM Class Corvette, PNS KHAIBAR, into the fleet, Admiral Naveed Ashraf, Chief of the Naval Staff (CNS) of the Pakistan Navy, stressed the significance of a robust, balanced, and technologically advanced navy.
Speaking to the audience, CNS emphasised that Pakistan needs a strong naval force to protect national interests and guarantee secure Sea Lines of Communications (SLOCs) due to its strategic location along important maritime commerce and energy routes.
The Naval Chief emphasised that the Indian Navy was obliged to retreat into their alleged safe havens during Marka-e-Haq because the Pakistan Navy was about to sink an Indian Navy aircraft carrier. Any attempt to undermine Pakistan’s maritime interests would be met with a suitable response, as demonstrated by the skill and execution of naval operations during Marka-e-Haq.
The Naval Chief stressed that the Pakistan Navy is being outfitted with cutting-edge platforms and specialised technology that allow it to attack the adversary’s naval assets and vital infrastructure. An important step in PN’s modernisation is the induction of cutting-edge platforms like PNS KHAIBAR and the upcoming HANGOR Class Submarines, which improve operational flexibility, combat power, and strategic reach.
The naval chief concluded his speech by wishing the PNS KHAIBAR crew well and reiterating the Pakistan Navy’s commitment to protecting sovereign seas and upholding its duty as the guardian of the maritime frontiers.
