Sikh pilgrims from India arrive at Gurdwara Janam Asthan

To take part in the Baisakhi celebration, 2,238 Indian Sikh pilgrims arrived at Gurdwara Janam Asthan in Nankana Sahib on Friday.
The party of Sikh pilgrims arrived at Gurdwara Janam Asthan under the leadership of Sardar Surjeet Singh. Special buses were used to transport the pilgrims to Nankana Sahib.
For their arrival, stringent security measures were implemented. The Sikh pilgrims from India will spend three days at Nankana Sahib.
Sardar Ramesh Singh Arora, Provincial Minister and Chairman of the Pakistan Sikh Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee, and Nasir Mushtaq, Additional Secretary of the Shrines Evacuee Trust Property Board, greeted Sikh pilgrims from India who arrived in Pakistan earlier in the day via the Wagah Border.
On April 14, Gurdwara Panja Sahib will host the main Baisakhi ritual. On April 19, the Sikh pilgrims from India are expected to return.
