Bilawal discusses a crucial development in efforts to put a stop to war.

According to PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari, the ongoing peace negotiations between the US and Iran in Islamabad represent a significant advancement in attempts to put an end to hostilities.
In an interview with a foreign media outlet, he shared his opinions. “The biggest accomplishment so far is that the talks are even taking place,” stated Bilawal. The fact that there is a ceasefire in place, that bombing has ceased in Iran and most of the Middle East, and that negotiations between the two major countries are currently underway is noteworthy.
“We hope that this ceasefire serves as a foundation for a longer-term and more permanent solution to this conflict.”
Bilawal went on to say that everyone was following the negotiations with “cautious optimism,” not only Pakistanis.
“Over the past six weeks or so, we witnessed the devastation of war; not only in terms of the human cost… but also the economic cost, which has reverberated around the world,” he stated.
“I would like to thank the leadership of Iran [and] the United States for agreeing to have this ceasefire and continue discussion, but then also the leadership, not only of Pakistan but of China, Saudi Arabia, Turkiye, Egypt, Qatar and many other GCC countries,” Bilawal responded to a query.
Since the war had an impact on everyone on the planet, he said, “everyone has been making a joint and collective effort to try and create the necessary diplomatic space for this ceasefire to take place and for further discussions to now proceed.”
