As negotiations stalemate, Australia calls on the US and Iran to resume talks.

Australia has urged the United States and Iran to continue talks and maintain a truce.

The Australian Foreign Minister emphasised the need for a quick and long-term resolution to the conflict and expressed disappointment over the talks’ inability to result in an agreement.

Any further escalation of tensions could have a detrimental effect on the world economy, she continued.

However, Esmail Baghaei, the spokeswoman for the Iranian Foreign Ministry, stated in a statement that while there are still disagreements on two or three items, most of the concerns have been resolved.

He continued by saying that it is unrealistic to anticipate a final deal in a single round of negotiations.

Consultations with Iran, Pakistan, and other friendly nations will continue, Esmail Baghaei added.

He pointed out that one of the difficulties in the negotiations has been the intricacy of the problems and the changing situation, with some new subjects being discussed.

He underlined that Iran will keep up its diplomatic efforts to defend its rights and interests abroad.
