The United States Navy has intercepted another Iranian oil vessel.

The US Central Command (CENTCOM) reported that the USS Rafael Peralta, a guided missile destroyer of the US Navy, intercepted the Iranian-flagged oil tanker MT Stream.

CENTCOM stated on social media that the action was executed when the tanker attempted to navigate near an Iranian port.

The statement indicated that the action is part of the United States’ blockade of Iranian ports.

As reported by Marine Traffic, MT Stream is a crude oil tanker registered under the Iranian flag, last observed 13 days ago in the Strait of Malacca.

Simultaneously, Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs previously accused the United States of piracy and violent robbery on the high seas following US activities that resulted in the confiscation of two further Iran-associated oil tankers, Majestic X and Tiffany.
