In intelligence-based operations, CTD Punjab detains 21 suspected terrorists.

According to officials, the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) Punjab has conducted extensive intelligence-based operations throughout the province, apprehending 21 suspected terrorists during 214 raids.
Based on intelligence information, the operations were carried out in several towns, including Lahore, Sheikhupura, Gujranwala, Khanewal, Mianwali, Toba Tek Singh, Multan, Gujrat, Pakpattan, and Bahawalpur, according to a CTD spokeswoman.
According to authorities, explosive material and a dangerous suspect named Pir Shams, who is supposedly connected to a banned group, were taken into custody from Lahore. Abdul Latif, a suspect from Toba Tek Singh who is allegedly connected to the Baloch Liberation Army, was also apprehended with explosive devices.
The detained suspects, according to officials, were preparing terrorist acts to instill fear in the populace. An improvised explosive device (IED), 17 detonators, 39 feet of safety fuse wire, books, cash, and forbidden stickers were among the items found during the operations.
During the week, CTD also carried out 5,040 combing operations, interrogating 18,932 people and holding 587 suspects for additional investigation.
