The GB Election Commission publishes an election campaign code of conduct.

An important circular about the code of conduct for the election campaign for the next general elections was released by the Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) Election Commission on Tuesday.
The circular states that during Gilgit-Baltistan’s general elections in 2026, wall chalking and vandalism on public property would be strictly prohibited. Raja Shahbaz Khan, Chief electoral Commissioner, has ordered an eco-friendly electoral campaign.
The Election Commission voiced grave concerns about wall chalking by political parties and candidates, claiming that it is detrimental to the environment and the aesthetics of public property.
Any type of writing or graffiti on highways, bridges, and government buildings is completely forbidden, according to the Commission, which has also issued a warning about severe consequences for breaking the code of conduct during the election campaign.
The circular also makes it clear that district monitoring officers have been given stern instructions to enforce the restriction, and that those who violate it would face legal prosecution under the Election Act of 2017. Applicants have been advised
