NYT reports: US crew rescued as helicopter crashes off Strait Of Hormuz

Two crew members of a United States Army Apache helicopter gunship that crashed near the Strait of Hormuz on Monday were retrieved safely, The New York Times reported Monday, citing two sources briefed on the event.
It was not immediately clear whether the Apache was shot down by Iranian fire, suffered technical failure or some other fault, the report claimed.
The White House, the U.S. State Department and U.S. Central Command did not immediately reply to calls for comment from Reuters.
