3 Toba MPA attack suspects dead in ‘encounter’ with CCD

Three criminals were shot dead and their two accomplices caught in an encounter here on Monday, police said. They had killed four people and injured an MPA in a gun attack a few weeks ago.

Police said the accused had stormed the camp of MPA Ayub Gadhi a few days ago and had critically injured him.

Also, four persons present at the camp were slain in the firing by the accused.

The offender was arrested in an area in the premises of Rajana Police by the Crime Control Department (CCD), Toba Tek Singh, officials added. They began to fire indiscriminately after noticing the police squad.

Police shot dead the three main suspects and opened fire after detaining their two accomplices. From the suspects, weapons were also seized. Teams of the Crime and Corruption Detachment have been organised to arrest other accomplices of the accused.
