Sikh devotees reach Gurdwara Panja Sahib

Indian Sikh pilgrims have come Gurdwara Panja Sahib Hasan Abdal to take part in the commemorations of the martyrdom day of the 5th Sikh Guru, Guru Arjan Dev Ji, under the arrangements of Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB), Ministry of Religious Affairs & Interfaith Harmony.
Arrangements of housing, langar, cleanliness, medical facilities, transport and failsafe security were satisfactory to the pilgrims. They praised the Government of Pakistan, Chairman ETPB Qamar-uz-Zaman, Additional Secretary Shrines Nasser Mushtaq and the government.
“They said they are getting world class facilities in Pakistan. “Our gurdwaras are now better and more secure than before,” they added.
Additional Secretary Shrines Nasser Mushtaq said that under the orders of Chairman ETPB Qamar-uz-Zaman, all feasible facilities are being ensured for the pilgrims and this visit is a strong example of encouraging religious tourism and interfaith harmony in Pakistan.
The pilgrims arrived at Gurdwara Panja Sahib after visiting Gurdwara Sacha Sauda Farooqabad, where they will stay for one day and complete their religious rituals as per schedule.
On 14 June, the Sikh jatha will leave for Gurdwara Darbar Sahib Kartarpur and on 15 June they will visit Gurdwara Rohri Sahib Eminabad en route to Lahore. The main event on the martyrdom day of Guru Arjan Dev Ji will be place on June 16 at Gurdwara Dera Sahib Lahore.
The Indian Sikh pilgrims will depart on June 19 following their 10-day tour.
