Motorcyclist dead in Khanpur accident

A motorcyclist was killed when he was run over by a speeding dumper on Showhall More here on Saturday.

Rescue reports said the victim identified as Arsalan Saeed was first struck by a carelessly driven automobile. He fell down on the road. In the interim, an over-speeding dumper crushed him to death.

Police and rescue teams reached the spot of accident and shifted the dead corpse to hospital for medicolegal formalities. The police confiscated the dumper but the automobile driver, who hit the biker, fled the spot. Dumper driver arrested. Investigations were continuing. Police were attempting to identify the driver of the automobile from CCTV footage.
