EU HRVP commends Pakistan’s efforts leading to signing of Islamabad MoU

On Sunday, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar held a telephonic call with European Union High Representative and Vice President (EU HRVP) Kaja Kallas and assessed the quickly shifting regional situation.

In a press release, Foreign Office Spokesperson said that the European Union High Representative/Vice President Kaja Kallas appreciated Pakistan’s sincere efforts that led to the signing of the Islamabad MOU but expressed serious concerns at the recent ceasefire violations and stressed that channels of communication must remain open.

Kaja Kallas was told by Ishaq Dar about Pakistan’s ongoing diplomatic efforts for comprehensive framework for peace and stability in the Middle East.

He also emphasised the imperative for all sides to adhere by the ceasefire deal. Both sides also agreed to keep in constant communication.
