Road accidents in Gujranwala and Bahawalnagar resulted in three fatalities and two injuries.

– At least three persons, including a seven-year-old boy, were killed and two other person were wounded in separate road accidents in Gujranwala and Bahawalnagar on Sunday,

According to details, a seven-year-old boy was killed and his parents were wounded when the motorcycle they were riding on was hit by a speeding truck near Aziz Cross Chowk in Gujranwala.

Police and rescue teams reached the spot and shifted the dead and injured to hospital. The deceased was identified as Hassan Ali. Police sources informed that the truck driver managed to escape from the scene after the accident.

The second accident occurred at the Haroonabad Road in Bahawalnagar where a couple died when the motorcycle they were riding on was hit by a rashly driven bus.

Police and rescue teams reached the spot and shifted the dead bodies to District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital. According to police, the deceased were identified as Shamoon and Anwar Bibi.

Police have seized the bus while its driver managed to escape from the scene after the accident.
