At Nowshera, four people drowned while taking a swim in the Indus River.

On Friday, the water level and velocity of the Indus River in Nowshera, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa abruptly increased, which resulted in the deaths of at least four persons who were bathing in the river.

One of the victims was a student, according to information provided by rescue officials. Residents of the area took swift action, which resulted in the protected rescue of a woman. According to sources within the rescue organization, the body of Anwar Islam, who was 31 years old and a native of Peshawar, was found from the river.

According to the officials, the search effort for the three individuals who are still missing has proceeded up until this point, but it has been momentarily halted because of the darkness. The procedure will be carried out once more in the morning.

During this time, the authorities have also stressed to the general public that they should be cautious when they are near rivers and other bodies of water, and that they should refrain from swimming or bathing during times of intense water flow.
