Imran Khan’s sisters Uzma, Noreen arrested for 30 days under 3-MPO

Lahore Deputy Commissioner has ordered detention of two sisters of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf founder Imran Khan, Uzma Khan and Noreen Niazi, for 30 days under Section 3 of Maintenance of Public Order (MPO).

The arrest had been made on police suggestion over fears of a potential threat to public order.

Sources stated cops picked up Uzma and Noreen along with their nephews from their sister Aleema Khan’s apartment. They were said to have been moved in some kind of armoured vehicle.

Uzma and Noreen were detained under the orders for 30 days and brought to jail. Later, the children and other family members were released.

The development happened after Aleema Khan was arrested by authorities as well. She was reportedly arrested while on her way from Upper Mall to Gymkhana and thereafter sent to Kot Lakhpat Jail.

Police from Lytton Road arrested Aleema Khan under Section 3 of the MPO and her personal car was transported to the police station.
